Gardens and parks throughout Prague are filled with beds of flowers in summer. Some offer rose gardens. All have benches for relaxing, reading, or sunning oneself.
Two of the large parks encourage cycling and skating as well as walking, jogging, picnicking, or just sitting, chatting, and contemplating.
Hedgie's favorites:
Stromovka Park
This huge Royal Deer park has kilometres of paths for walking, jogging, skating, and cycling. Benches are generously scattered throughout. Ducks can be found in the large pond. Refreshments are available in various establishments in the adjacent Exhibitions grounds or surrounding neighborhoods. For flower lovers, the rose garden near the planetarium is filled with fragrant roses.

Letná Park
This is very much a family park, large enough to encourage every kind of activity including cycling and rollerblading. Different surface pavings and signs indicate where these are appropriate, so that other paths remain quiet for strolling. A beer garden with a spectacular view of the Old Town, casual seating serving wine and snacks, and an upscale restaurant, the Letenský Zámeček, all provide outdoor refreshments. Beds of summer flowers are a delight, especially when they attract clouds of butterflies.
